Active Ingredients:
- Drospirenone
- Estradiol
Therapeutic effect of Estradiol and Drospirenone: Estradiol and Drospirenone used to make Angeliq produces female hormones estrogens and progestins. These two female hormones are essential for the normal functioning of the female reproductive system. The above mentioned hormones also play a very important role in the regulation of the female monthly menstrual cycle.
Indications: Angeliq is used to treat the following:
- To reduce the symptoms of menopause like unusual chills, sweating, dizziness, fatigue and hot flashes that can occur because the body reduces the production of the female hormone estrogen after menopause.
- Menopause related disorders like Osteoporosis which is the loss of bone density and thinning of bone tissue.
- Angeliq is also used for the treatment of vaginal or vulvar atrophy.
Precautions and Restrictions: Before taking Angeliq consult a doctor if you have the following ailments:
- Liver disorder
- Kidney disease
- Jaundice
- Addison disease
- Blood clotting diseases
- Vaginal Bleeding
- Hyperkalemia

Use of Angeliq is strictly prohibited by FDA if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant or expecting or is a breast feeding mother.
