Therapeutic effects of Troxevasin:Troxevasin consists of a combination of bioflavonoids including troxerutin. Troxevasin increases the endurance of capillaries and lowers the permeability of the venous blood vessel walls. In addition, it also attributes an anti-inflammatory effect.
Due to such pharmacologic effects of Troxevasin, it relieves oedema, pain and trophic disturbances. This allows it to be an effective measure against chronic venous failure and its complications.
Indications: Troxevasin is used to treat a condition where the veins cannot pump enough oxygen-poor blood back to the heart (Venous insufficiency). Troxevasin also aids in the treatment of venectomy and scleropathy.
It is also used for treating:
- Eczema that affects patients with varicose veins (varicous dermatitis)
- Edema and pain in trauma and varicose veins
- Pains of traumatic origin - following contusions, distorsions, luxations and etc.,
- Muscle Cramps
- Inflammation or damage to the retina of the eye (retinopathy)
- Hemorrhoids
- Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI)
- Inflammation of a vein due to a blood clot in a vein located just below the skin's surface (superficial thrombophlebitis)
- Ulcus cruris (varicous ulcers)
- Pre-varicose and varicose syndrome
Precautions and Restrictions: Do not use this Gel if you have a personal history of sensitivity to rutosides.
Side effects of Troxevasin Gel: Troxevasin like all other medicines can cause certain unintended reactions on certain people. These adverse unintended reactions may or may not affect every user of this medicine. This is a well tolerated gel but on rare occasions the users may experience skin reactions, headaches, and reddening of the face. Appearance of these reactions is not an indication to stop using this medicinal gel.

Interactions: There are no reports to suggest that Troxevasin interacts with other medicines. This medicinal gel has no effect on coumarin based anticoagulants. Troxevasin Gel can combine with other venotonic preparations or with local medicinal forms of that group.
