Therapeutic effects of Phleodia: Diosmin, the active ingredient of Phleodia, is classified under the group of phlebotropic agents and it possesses vein-protective, angio-protective, vein-restorative effects. This medicine has multiple functions such as: it increases the venous tone, capillary ressistance, and microcirculation of the capillaries. It also decreases the following: venous stasis, venous capacitance, and permeability of the capillaries. Apart from these Phleodia also improves lymphatic drainage, enhances the vessel resistance, and increases the systolic and diastolic pressure.
