Active Ingredients:

  • Heparin sodium

Therapeutic effects of Lioton: Heparin is the active ingredient found in Lioton gel. The medication has anti-inflammatory, anti edemic and anti-proliferative effects when is used. When it forms a bond with antitrombin III, it can disrupt the functioning of thrombin and lower the accumulation of platelets. Lioton can also reduce the effects of hyaluronan and intensify blood fibrinolytic properties.

Indications: Lioton gel is used for the following conditions:

  • Phlebothrombosis
  • Problems arising in the veins after surgery
  • Edemas and localized infiltrations
  • Superficial adhesive phlebitis
  • Injuries of the tendons and muscle tissues
  • Hypodermic haematoma

Precautions and Restrictions: Avoid applying Lioton gel under the below mentioned circumstances:

  • If you are increasingly sensitive to the ingredients of this medicine
  • Ulcerative-necrotic process
  • If you have any open wounds
  • Bleeding tendency
  • Thrombocytopenia
