Advantan contains chemical compounds that fall under the classification of Corticosteroids. This drug has anti-pruritic, anti-inflammatory, vasoconstrictive properties hence they are used for skin ailments. This high potent drug when applied to the affected skin reduces rashes, itching, redness, irritations, swelling, psoriasis, and eczema.
Indications: Advantan is used for treating:
- Psoriasis which is characterized by thick reddish skin with white patches which cause itching and irritation
- Eczema which is the inflammation for the skin accompanied with itchy rashes
Precautions and Restrictions: It is not advisable to use Advantan tablets or cream if you are allergic to Methylprednisolone aceponate or medical substances that are classified as corticosteroids or any medicine that gives rise to typical allergic reactions.
