Active Ingredients:

Therapeutic effect of Diclac: Diclac with Diclofenac as its primary ingredient is classified under the category of Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Diclac is an effective drug to treat inflammation, to ease pain and to reduce fever. This drug works by inhibiting COX which is an essential enzyme for the synthesis of prostaglandins, which is primarily responsible for inflammation and pain in the body.

Indications: Diclac tablets are used for the treatment of:

  • Gallstones
  • Abdominal pain commonly caused by kidney stones
  • Acute rheumatism
  • Chronic pain
  • Short term and long term inflammation of the joints between the spinal bones
  • Chronic joint inflammation
  • Symptoms of osteoarthritis which is pain, swelling and stiffness

Precautions and Restrictions:

Avoid taking Diclac tablets if you have one of the following conditions:

  • Diabetic
  • Alcoholic
  • Frequent smoker
  • Highly sensitive to Diclac or other NSAID's
  • Serious inflammation in the bowels
  • Swelling in the airways of the lungs
  • Cardiovascular disorders like heart failure and heart attack
  • Serious kidney and liver ailments
  • Ulcers in the stomach and duodenum
  • Diseases related to blood
  • If the user is pregnant
  • If the user is a breast feeding mother
  • If the user is a young infant below 1 year of age
  • Children below 18 years of age

Side effects of Diclac: People using this drug may experience certain side effects. Below mentioned are some of the side effects that may or may not occur. If a user experiences certain adverse reactions it does not mean that others will experience the same side effects.

Diclofenac side effects include:

  • Disorders related to the digestive system like inflammation of the pancreas, inflammation of the liver, constipation, uncontrollable flatulence, anorexia, abdominal pain, vomiting and nausea
  • Disorders related to the central nervous system like sterile meningitis, fatigue, over irritability, sleeplessness, agitation, dizziness and headache
  • Respiratory ailments like bronchial spasm
  • Granulopenia, decrease in disease fighting cells, abnormally low amount of platelets, lower amount of healthy red blood cells
  • Hyperemia, sudden rash, redness of skin, scaly and itchy rashes
  • Hypertension, edemas, and water retention
