Active Ingredients:
- Pentoxifylline
Therapeutic effects of Trental: Trental belongs to a group of drugs called angioprotectors. The said group can significantly decrease the blood viscosity and improve the rheological properties of the blood. This medication produces various effects like weak myotrophic vasodilatation, slight reduction in peripheral resistance and a positive inotropic effect. Both the coronary vessels and small arteries are widened to some extent by this medication. As a result, there is a better supply of oxygen in the mentioned areas. Due to its definite form design, the preparation is synthesized within 12 hours of intake. This brings about the medicine's long-term effectiveness.
Indications: Trental is used to treat the following conditions:
- Inner ear disorder caused by vessel abnormalities
- Problems of blood circulation in the eye
- Angiopathic neuropathy
- Obliterating arteritis (Obliterating Endarteritis)
- Trophic abnormalities caused by disorder of blood vessels, etc
- Peripheral blood flow abnormality caused by inflammation, diabetes, atherosclerosis, etc
- Vascular encephalopathy
- Ischaemic brain injury
- Aterosclerotic encephalopathy
Precautions and Restrictions: Do not use Trental:
- If you had heart attack (Myocardial infarction)
- If you have severe bleeding
- If you suffer from stroke (Cerebral hemorrhage)
- If you have severe retinal hemorrhage
- If you are increasingly sensitive to the ingredients of this medicine
- If you are pregnant
- If you are a nursing mother
