Therapeutic effect of Guttalax: Guttalax is in a class of medications called stimulant laxatives. Sodium Picosulfate helps in the evacuation of the bowel by contraction and relaxation of the muscles of the intestine.

Indications: Guttalax is used for treating:

• Constipation
• To clean the bowel before a surgery

Precautions and Restrictions: It is advisable to consult with your doctor about the following before using Guttalax:

• if you are pregnant or planning to have a baby in the nearest future or if you are a breast feeding mother
• if you have stomach cramps or pain in the abdomen
• if you are suffering from a condition called Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
• if you are allergic to this medicine or its ingredients or to similar substances
• if you feel sick
• if you are using any other medical substance either prescribed by a doctor or if you are taking herbal or complementary medicines
