Active Ingredients:

  • Ketoprofen

Therapeutic effect of Fastum Gel: Ketoprofen, the active ingredient of Fastum gel, belongs to the propionic acid class of NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug). This gel has both antipyretic and analgesic properties and it works by blocking the production of prostaglandin. Ketoprofen by inhibiting the production of prostaglandin relaxes the muscles thereby reducing the inflammation on the applied location. Ketoprofen is administered for inflammation and pain caused due to arthritis, pain in tendons, ligaments, muscles and severe toothaches.

Indications: Ketoprofen is used to treat inflammation, stiffness and pain related to osteoarthritis (joint disorder, due to wear and tear on the joint and aging) and rheumatoid arthritis (swelling of the joints and surrounding tissues).

Precautions and Restrictions: Avoid using Fastum Gel if you are highly sensitive to Ketoprofen or any other ingredients. The effect of Fastum Gel on pregnant and lactating women is not known. Similarly the safety and effect of this medicine on children is also not well known.

Do not use Fastum Gel if you:

  • Are allergic to aspirin or other similar medicines
