Therapeutic effects of Panangin: Panangin encourages myocardial metabolism, it also enhances the tolerance to digitalics, and also possesses antiarithmic effect.
Indications: Panangin tablets are used to treat:
- Chest pain (Angina pectoris)
- Myocardial Infarction (Infarct and Post-infarct arrhythmias)
- Arrhythmias provoked by the intolerance to digitalics
- Heart Rhythm Disorders
- Digitalic intoxication
Precautions and Restrictions: Do not use this medicine if you have the following conditions:
- Acute and chronic kidney failure.
- Abnormally high concentration of potassium ions in the blood (hyperpotassiemia) and disorder of the atrioventricular conductivity.
- This medicine is also administered to patients with heartbeat rate disorder which is associated with atrio-ventricular block.
Side effects of Panangin: There are certain side effects of Panangin tablets that may affect some people. But it is not certain that these side effects will take place in all people. Some of the side effects of Panangin are:
- Perspiration, asthenia, myasthenia, numbness and tingling in the skin (paresthesia), vertigo, below normal or absent reflexes (hyporeflexia), irritation, vein thrombosis, inflammation of a veins in the leg (phlebit), Hypotension, bragicardia, dry mouth, bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, gas, ulcer, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, or urge to vomit.

- The following medicines can increase the risk of hyperkaliemia: non-steriodal anti-inflammatiory drugs, inhibitors of APF, heparin, diuretic drugs that do not promote the secretion of potassium into the urine, cyclosporine, and beta-blocker.
- Panangin taken with general anesthetic drugs can intensify inhibitory action on the central nervous system.
- Panangin when taken along with succsametoniem, succinylchloride, dekametonim, and athracuronim may result in increased neuromuscular blockade.
- Panangin with binding and covering agents will reduce the absorption capacity in the gastrointestinal tract.
