Therapeutic effects of Nitromint: Nitroglycerin, the main ingredient of Nitromint, belongs to a class of medicines that relax the smooth muscle in blood vessels, and causes the dilatation of the vessels. This action is essentially the opposite of vasoconstriction which is the narrowing of blood vessels. This action also increases the oxygen supply to the heart.
- Nitromint spray is used to treat pain in the chest during angina attack.
- It is also used to prevent chest pain while doing activities that can cause heart attack (activities such as having sex, going out when it's cold outside, climbing stairs, doing exercise, etc).
Precautions and Restrictions: Inform your doctor if you have the following conditions:
- Lack of healthy red blood cells (anemia)
- Impairment in spatial perception and stability (dizziness)
- Pyrexia
- Eye condition that leads to damage of the optic nerve (glaucoma)
- Brain Hemorrhage, recent stroke, or injury to the head
- Liver disorder
- Hypotension or low blood voloume
- Personal history of heart attack
- Hyperthyroidism
- Disorder of the intestine or stomach

It is best to have this medicine with you at all times and use at the first sign of chest pain or tightness. Lie down or sit to prevent falling if you feel dizzy or faint after using nitroglycerin. Try to remain calm; this will help you to feel better faster. If you feel dizzy, take several deep breaths and lie down with your feet propped up, or bend forward with your head resting between your knees.
This medicine would make the user dizzy and drowsy so do not drive or use machinery or do any activity that requires balance or alertness. To reduce the risk of feeling dizzy or drowsy or fainting, do not stand or sit quickly. This is mostly recommended for aged users. Using alcohol may stimulate such feelings as: drowsiness, dizziness, fainting and rapid heartbeat, so do not use this kind of beverages.

- Vision problems such as blurry eye sight

- Rashes
