Therapeutic effects of Maxitrol: Dexamethasone is a medical compound classified under the group corticosteroids. This substance is used to reduce swelling and other similar reactions. Normally, inflammation and other allergic reactions occur when our body releases enzymes that widen the blood vessels. As a result of such widening reactions like pain, itching, swelling and reddening occurs. Dexamethasone reduces swelling and other symptoms by restricting the secretion of inflammation causing substances.

Neomycin is part of a class of antibiotics called aminoglycosides. Neomycin works by binding with bacteria and manipulating its functioning and destroying it. Neomycin is very effective against a wide range of bacteria.

Polymixin B sulphate is an antibiotic classified under the group polymyxins. This antibiotic works by increasing the permeability of the bacterial cell wall. Increase in permeability forces the bacterial cell content to fall out which results in the death of the bacteria.
