Therapeutic effects of Smecta: Smecta is a non-systemic gastrointestinal tract mucous-protective drug. It interacts with mucous molecules and strengthens the mucous barrier as well. This medication is also capable of protecting the surface of enterocytes and fighting against bacteria and toxin which present within the lumen. Smecta has a particular binding action for rotavirus which is one of the main causes of diarrhea in children.

Indications: Smecta is used for treating:

• Severe and prolonged period of diarrhea, especially in children
• Inflammation of the large intestine (colitis), duodenal ulcer and stomach ulcer, inflammation caused by gastritis, and pyrosis

• You suffer from intestinal occlusion
