Therapeutic effects of Mezim-Forte: Mezim forte facilitates the synthesis of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, and improves digestion. This medication is commonly used for problems in the stomach, such as digestion difficulties, lack of secretory and digestive capacity of both the stomach and bowels. It is also useful in problems pertaining to flatulence and diarrhea.

Pharmacology: The mechanism of the drug works by filling up the lack of enzymes in the pancreas. It also promotes food digestion and compensation for the inadequate function of the same organ.

Each tablet's coating protects the sensitive enzymes found inside the drug from gastric juices. As it dissolves solely in the alkaline environment of the small intestines, pancreatic enzymes are released. This promotes the breakdown and absorption of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. A pain relieving effect may be experience, when the Trispin enzyme regulates pancreatic discharge.

• Sudden inflammation of the pancreas (Acute pancreatitis)
• Worsening condition of chronic pancreatitis
