Active Ingredients:

• bile extract and hemicellulase,
• lipase,
• pancreatin(amylase, protease)

Therapeutic effect of Enzystal: Enzystal is a combination of many digestive enzymes used for normalizing the digestive process. Each ingredient of Enzystal plays a critical role in the digestive process. Enzyme like protease, amylase and lipase help in the breaking down of proteins, carbohydrates and fatty acids and they also speed up the absorption process in the intestines. The bile extract in Enzystal acts on lipids and contributes in its breakdown, it also regulates lipid absorption, emulsification and improves the assimilation of vitamins A, E, K. Enzyme hemicellulase acts on the dietary fiber and breaks it into simpler compounds. Overall Enzystal is used to normalize and regulate digestive function.

Indications: Enzystal is used to perform the activities of pancreatic glands when these glands are unable to produce the required amount of enzymes, mainly due to the following conditions:

• Cystic fibrosis

• Surgical removal of all or part of the pancreas (Pancreatectomy)

Enzystal is also used for treating symptoms like:

• Postcholecystectomy Syndrome
• Limited resection of the stomach
• Full removal of the stomach
• Duodeno- and gastroschisis
• Obstruction of the bile duct
• Inflammation around the bile duct
• Poor liver function (Liver cirrhosis)
• Intestinal bacterial overgrowth
• Presence of excess fat in feces due to the inability of the intestine to absorb it

Precautions and Restrictions: Do not use Enzystal if you have the following conditions:

• Hypersensitivity to the ingredients of Enzystal
• Inflammation and swelling of the pancreas (Acute pancreatitis)
• Worsening of inflammation of the pancreas (chronic pancreatitis)
• Suspected appendicitis
• If you are pregnant or a breast feeding mother, use this drug only after consulting a doctor.
• Do not chew Enzystal as it inactivates the drug.
• In children, overuse or high dosage of Enzystal may cause pain in the mouth and constipation.
