Active Ingredients:

Therapeutic effect Gyno-travogen ovule: Isoconazole nitrate is an anti-fungal medicine used to treat infections of the vagina. This medicine is available as an ovule which is inserted into the vagina. As the ovule melts because of the body temperature, it forms into semi-fluid oil like substance and lines the vaginal wall. A small portion of the medicine mixes with the secretion of the vagina and diffuses into the vaginal epithelium. This combination which possesses antimycotic properties treats the infection and its effect lasts for several days.
Indications: Gyno-travogen ovule is applied to cure vaginal infection caused by fungus and certain gram-positive bacteria.
Precautions and Restrictions:
- Stop using this medicine if you are highly sensitive to the ingredients of this drug.
- Use anti-fungal medicine for treating the external genital area or for preventive treatment of your partner.
- Do not go for vaginal douching during or a week after the treatment, because douching may increase the risk of recurrence of the infection. Also wash and change your personal linen every day to avoid renewed infection.
Preclinical Safety Data: Various studies including toxicity tests have shown that there are no serious risk factors associated with Gyno-travogen. It has been proven that there is no mutation effect of Gyno-travogen. Use of Gyno-travogen does not cause any gene or chromosomal mutation. Mutagenicity tests on Gyno-travogen have shown no evidence of tumorigenic potential. Toxicity tests have shown that this medicine has no effect on the reproductive cycle and there is no evidence to show its teratogenic potential.
Use of this medicine does not cause any serious skin or mucous membrane damage. Mild eye irritation may occur when this medicine accidentally comes in contact with eyes.
Gyno-travogen has no effect on pregnant women and tests have shown no proof of teratogenic risk. Similarly, it is safe for nursing mothers to use this medicine because Gyno-travogen cannot be easily absorbed by the skin, hence the risk of it passing into the milk is very rare.
