Therapeutic effect of Diane-35: Diane 35 is the combination of two ingredients, Cyproterone and Ethinyl estradiol. Diane 35 is used as an oral contraceptive. It possesses anti-androgen properties. This drug works by suppressing the ovulation process, the drug prevents the release of egg from the ovary and also changes the viscosity of the cervical mucus, thereby making the process of implanting the egg cell very difficult.
One of the ingredients of this medicine, Cyproterone, reduces the effectiveness of the male sex hormone, androgen, hence this drug can also be used to treat androgen dependent ailments. Diane 35 has many other functions - it can decrease hyperactive oil glands and reduce seborrhea and acne. This drug can also be used for treating hair loss and also is an effective treatment of Frazonism. Diane 35 can also reduce the pain caused by menstruation, reduce the risk of anemia and reduce psycho-emotional distress.
