Active Ingredients:

Therapeutic effects of Nizoral cream: Ketoconazole is the active ingredient of Nizoral cream which is an antifungal medication. The cream's function is to hinder the development of yeast and fungi cell membranes. Nizoral also stops the fungi from creating ergosterol, a vital component of fungal cell membranes. A decrease in its production encourages holes to appear on the cell membrane of the fungi which leads to their disintegration and death.
Indications: Nizoral cream is applied to treat the following:
- Infection of the feet caused by fungus (athlete's foot or tinea pedis)
- Skin infection caused by fungus (ringworm or tinea corporis)
- Infection of the groin area caused by fungus (tinea cruris or Jock itch)
- Inflammations in the skin with red, greasy and scaly areas (seborrhoeic dermatitis)
- Chronic fungal infection of the skin (Tinea versicolor or pityriasis versicolo)
- Infection of the skin caused by Candida
- Yeast infection or vaginal thrush or candidal vaginitis
- External symptoms of candidal vulvitis
Precautions and Restrictions: Do not use Nizoral cream if you are allergic to the active ingredient of this medicine, ketoconazole.
Prior to using Nizoral consult with your doctor if the following circumstances apply to you:
- If you are pregnant
- If you are a nursing mother
- If you are below 16 or above 60 years of age
If your partner (sexual partner) also suffers from yeast infection of the mucus membrane then start the treatment for yourself and your partner at the same time.
