Drug name: Flonase

Active Ingredients: fluticasone propionate

Therapeutic effect of Flonase: Fluticasone propionate belongs to the corticosteroid group and is a derivative of fluticasone. This compound has anti-inflammatory and antiedemic (preventing swelling and fluid retention) properties, it is predominantly used for treating asthma and various allergic symptoms. Fluticasone propionate achieves its anti-inflammatory action by interacting with corticosteroid preceptors. This medicine starts to show its therapeutic effect within 2 to 4 hours of use. Fluticasone propionate is very effective in controlling sneezing, nasal itching and other symptoms related to allergic rhinitis.

Indications: Flonase is used for treating:

• Symptoms related to nasal allergies which may be seasonal or not
• Occurrence of rhinitis without a known cause

Precautions and Restrictions: Do not use Flonase if you have the following conditions:
